Quilts

My Aunt Marianne is an expert quilter. She generously sends us beautiful quilts for special occasions like weddings and new babies. We've been meaning to take pictures of them and send them off to her. After I looked at the pics, I just had to share. She is so talented. These are the ones that we keep at the cabin:

Labor Day at the Cabin

The kids and I went to the cabin over Labor Day. Brian had to stay home and study...what a nerd! ;)

Anyway, we had a ton of fun and some greatly anticipated face time with the fam. Even uncle Jay was there to provide endless amounts of teasing.

Poppa took Izzypop for some four wheeler rides and sat around the campfire with Skeeter.

We had way too much fun with the cousins...

...especially the tiny ones.

But best of all, we got some much needed rest and relaxation.

I want to go back!

The Bennion Bear Lake Bonanza

We spent Saturday at the annual Bennion Family get together at Bear Lake. We had so much fun in the sun and sand.

Skeeter, as always, was in the best of moods. He loves his Grandma and Poppa...and apparently, loves the water too.

Izzypop's favorite part of the day was riding on the boats. She has no fear. I'm sure that if we were to have left her there to live on that boat, she would have had no qualms whatsoever.

We finished off the night with some pizza and a cool soda at Fredrico's in Logan. Thanks Grandma and Poppa for a great day!

It's A Zoo Out There

It seems like life is so busy that we can't do anything fun unless we force ourselves to. So, Friday, I took half a day off and Brian stayed home from Hill so we could have some family time and we headed off to the zoo.

There were lions...

...tigers...

...and grumpy monkeys.

At least one of the kids was having fun.

Back To Blogging

We set up this blog a few years ago and never did much with it. Since the Renovation Blog is just that -- a renovation blog. I thought I'd post a few things here so some of you can keep tabs on all the goings on here at the Bennion household.

Everyone is doing swell here. We just celebrated Izzypop's 4th birthday. We invited all of her school and neighborhood friends over for a wet and wild Nemo party.
