Just in the last couple days Skeeto has really started to get up and go. I think now that he is getting over his nasty cold he's getting some of his energy back. He'll be chasing his sister around in no time, I'm sure.

Skeeto's First Birthday
Today Skeeto is one! Can you believe it?!? Me neither. One year ago today, this funny little guy made our little family complete. Over the past few days, we've been celebrating with all our family members. Saturday kicked off the multi-day celebration with cake at Grandma and Grandpa Bennion's house. Nate loved the bouncy Zebra and went straight for the cake. Thanks Grandpa Bob and Grandma Sandi!

Sunday Grandma Orr planned a dino-themed party for the little guy. My whole family showed up...well almost everyone showed up. Skeeto came down with a nasty fever of 102 and had to miss his own birthday bash. Bummer. Daddy stayed home with him while Izzypop and I went to enjoy the amazing volcano cake (made by Grandma Orr) and have a blast putting together the dinosaur puzzles. Iz made sure she had enough fun for both her and Skeeto. Despite feeling so crappy, Skeeto cheesed it up for the camera when we got home and showed him his new toys.

Monday night Grandma Sherrie came by and we had a quiet dinner at home -- so nice. Tonight, Skeeto's actual birthday, Brian made him a cake and we let him dive into it. He is a chocolate lover.

There will most likely be more birthday events in the days to come. Especially since my fam didn't get to see him. It's been great fun celebrating this little guy's first. He is such a sweet little man. I can't wait to see what this next year brings for him. He'll be walking and talking any day now and before I know it, he'll be as big as his sister -- ugh.
Happy Birthday Skeeto! We love ya!
